The MitsuTimes No Prep Leaderboard recognizes Mitsubishi-powered vehicles competing on racing surfaces that have not been intentionally prepared with traction compound for the run or event.
No Prep submissions are accepted from around the world and are not limited to traditional drag strips.
1. Qualifying Surfaces
Eligible No Prep surfaces include:
Frontside No Prep — Racing in the normal direction of a drag strip without the surface being intentionally prepared with traction compound for the event.
Backside / Back of Track (BOT) — Racing on the shutdown area, backside, or opposite direction of a traditional drag strip.
Airport / Runway — Racing conducted on an untreated airport or runway surface.
Closed Road / Highway — Racing conducted as part of an organized event on a legally closed road or highway.
Other — Other untreated racing surfaces may be accepted following review by MitsuTimes.
2. Surface Preparation
The racing surface may not have traction compound intentionally applied for the run or event.
Existing rubber, previous track use, burnouts, or naturally developed rubber on the racing surface do not automatically disqualify a pass.
Normal burnout and tire-preparation procedures permitted by the event are allowed.
3. Organized Events / Closed Courses
Submissions must come from an organized racing event, designated racing facility, or legally closed course.
Passes made during illegal street racing or on roads open to normal public traffic are not eligible.
4. Timing
Official track or event timing is accepted and preferred when available.
Dragy or other verifiable GPS-based timing may also be accepted when official timing is unavailable.
GPS-timed entries may be identified separately from officially timed entries on the leaderboard.
Times must represent the actual measured racing distance. Shorter-distance results will not be mathematically converted or estimated into 1/8-mile or 1/4-mile times.
5. Verification
All No Prep submissions must include sufficient evidence to verify the pass.
Officially timed passes should include the official timeslip or event timing result along with video of the pass.
Dragy/GPS submissions must include the verified timing result and supporting video of the run.
MitsuTimes may request additional video, event information, timing information, or other evidence when necessary to verify a submission.
6. Vehicle Rules
There are no additional restrictions on drivetrain, transmission, tire type, chassis configuration, power adder, or vehicle setup beyond the normal eligibility requirements of the applicable MitsuTimes leaderboard.
Slicks and drag radials are both permitted.
7. Surface Classification
No Prep entries may be identified by surface type so that the conditions of each performance are clear.
Surface classifications may include:
FS — Frontside No Prep
BOT — Backside / Back of Track
RWY — Airport / Runway
RD — Closed Road / Highway
Timing may also be identified as Official Timing or GPS/Dragy Verified.
All qualifying surface types compete on the same overall No Prep leaderboard unless MitsuTimes establishes additional categories in the future.
8. Final Verification
Because No Prep racing varies significantly between countries, events, tracks, and racing surfaces, not every possible situation can be covered by a single set of rules.
MitsuTimes reserves the right to review, approve, reject, or request additional information for any submission when the No Prep status, racing distance, timing, or legitimacy of the pass cannot reasonably be verified.
The goal of the MitsuTimes No Prep Leaderboard is to document and recognize legitimate Mitsubishi performance on unprepared racing surfaces while keeping the list fair, transparent, and accessible to racers worldwide.
